Friendly Giants Dog Rescue is a non-profit group in Ottawa, Ontario that was created by a network of people that became aware of the growing need to provide a safe haven and to find loving adoptive forever homes for dogs in pounds and shelters that would otherwise be euthanized.

All our rescues are fully vetted, spay/neutered and assessed in order to find the most suitable adoptive homes possible. If you are interested in adopting one of these dogs, please contact us, friendlygiantsdogrescue@gmail.com and we will forward an application to you.

Our adoption fee includes, full vetting i.e. vaccines, Heart Worm testing, de-wormed, flea & tick treatment and the pet is spayed/neutered before you adopt him/her.

Adopting a rescued animal is a big commitment. These dogs have already been through so much in their short lives. They deserve loving, comfortable forever homes. Therefore, the adoption process is something Friendly Giants Dog Rescue takes very seriously. We want to be sure that each dog is matched with his or her perfect family.

There is nothing more rewarding than looking a rescue dog in the eyes and seeing how much they appreciate a kind face and warm heart and the unconditional love they give you back no matter what circumstances they have come from. SNICKERS

Snickers is on his way to Ottawa at the moment to his foster home. He was rescued off death-row in a high kill Ohio shelter. Snickers is described as about 10-12 months old, extremely sweet, and already neutered. His breed is a guess, he was listed as Terrier/Shepherd in Ohio, whatever he is, he's 100% cute.
Sickers is a very sweet dog, a cuddler for sure, if you are interested in meeting him and bringing him into your family.

CHLOE

Chleo is an absolute peach, she is about 8 months old, she is awesome with dogs, little and big, and cats, and kids, she is young and still have lots of learning to do, but will make anyone an amazing family addition! She just does great with everyone, has been out and about with her foster family at family events, with loads of children and she is just awesome, not an aggressive bone in her body! No food aggression, no toy aggression, no resource guarding, she is perfect!
